Garden Center Associate

Full time and part time positions available, at least one weekend day is required. Pay based on experience.

As a part of The Phantom Gardener team, this individual is expected to be punctual, personable, and respectful towards our valued customers.

Ideally looking for someone with gardening experience/plant knowledge to help customers in our garden center.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Unloading plants and trees from delivery trucks
- Properly watering and caring for trees, shrubs, perennials, and other plants
- Handling sprinkler system
- Assisting customers with plant selection and sales
- Weeding sales yard
- Loading customer cars
- Running a cash register
- Sweeping/cleaning inside our store

Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 30+ lbs
- Must be able to work independently under the direction of a manager
- Horticultural experience preferred
- Experience with POS systems and retail sales is a plus
- Experience operating loader/forklift is a plus
- Strong preference for someone with plant knowledge/experience

Job Type: Part time & full time positions available (April - November)

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour based on experience

Landscaper (Install/Maintenance)

This is a 40+ hr/week position with opportunities for overtime. Part time openings available. Starting pay will be based on knowledge and demonstrated prior experience.

As a part of The Phantom Gardener team, this individual is expected to be punctual, personable, and respectful towards our valued customers.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in installation and maintenance of new and existing lawns and gardens
- Plant, weed, dead-head, prune, and water various properties without supervision
- No lawn mowing required

Requirements:
- Horticulture knowledge and landscape equipment experience
- Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions
- Ability to follow direction and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Hard working
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to lift 75 lbs
- Experience operating heavy machinery (loader, forklift, etc) a plus

Stone Mason

This is a 40+ hr/week position with opportunities for overtime. Starting pay will be based on knowledge and demonstrated prior experience.

As a part of The Phantom Gardener team, this individual is expected to be punctual, personable, and respectful towards our valued customers.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in construction of hardscapes including walls, patios, and walkways using natural stone and pavers

- May be required to fill in on landscape installations

Requirements:
- Hardscape and/or horticulture knowledge and landscape equipment experience strongly preferred but will train the right individual
- Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions
- Ability to follow direction and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Hard working
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 75 lbs
- Experience operating heavy machinery (loader, forklift, etc) a plus
